[No Subject]: Yeah, right.

I struggle with pleasing people.

We have a new band director (as I've previously stated). He's a really great guy, too.
But the two of us just aren't clicking.
He's changed a whole plethora of things. The things we'd learned before his arrival took me years to learn, and I still haven't mastered them yet, so you understand my current frustration.
I'm slowly, but surely, adjusting to what we're learning, but he still doesn't really like me.
It seems like we tolerate each other, but I want him to see me and notice me and like me really badly.

This is how most of my relation-ships with others go. (I think it's weird to call your relations to a teacher -- especially a male one -- relationships. That sounds sketchy.)
I have this desire for people to like me. Then I become upset when my efforts to please them don't work.
I told a friend of mine this the other day, and he told me, "You can't please EVERYONE. To every person there is someone exactly opposite of them. You can't be in the middle or you'll piss both off."
He makes a lot of sense. In some ways, what he said was true. Maybe not.
Do you think there's a way to be in the middle without angering both "sides"?

Anyway, how are you today? We haven't "talked" in awhile. (It's mostly just me talking...)
I've got a LOT to tell you. School's been in the way. XD
We'll talk soon. Promise.

Love you lots,
Lisa :]
