Everyday, I'm Shufflin' :D

Well, summer's practically over -- we've already resumed marching -- and I haven't truly spoken to you since June 1st. (I've been having too much fun!)

CHECK OUT HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER! (We'll call this segment "Summer in a Sentence".)

Tengo muchas cosas que decirte!

Calculus Extravaganza / Leadership Workweek / Music Theory Camp / Flute Party
- Sweaty Calculus nerds, present and past, gather in a local park to share great junk food and play sports.
- Student leaders are locked in school for 8 hours, cleaning and discovering the use of windshield wipers, seat-belts, and Chick-Fil-A waiters.
- Future music majors sardined in a classroom with too many desks for its size get a crash course in music theory in four days.
- Flute players convene in a park only to relocate to a nearby house and play Just Dance 2 followed by a 10 second water balloon fight.

Vacation Bible School / Spanish Exams
- 200 elementary school students learn about Christ in fun, new ways at a church day camp.
- Student missing language requirement tortured in a foreign language testing room.

Birthday / Family Night / Fourth of July / Dallas, Texas
- Sibling enters teenager-hood.
- Family camps indoors in an effort to bond.
- Children utilize water slides to gain massive abs.
- Family travels to Dallas, the prettiest city in the state of Texas.

Cougar Band Camp / Leadership Party
- Band geeks from around the Houston area spend a week at a world-renowned music school and learn powerful pieces in musical literature, walk for multiple miles at high speeds without gaps or de-folliculating the grass, and dance in various UNIQUE styles that involve floating, arm-flapping, and the high-speed macarena.

"OLD MAN FALLS IN LOVE WITH YOUNG BOY AND IS ACCOMPANIED BY AN ANDROGYNOUS BIRD NAMED KEVIN!" :DD

- The aforementioned student leaders reconvene to discuss the upcoming school year.

MARCHING BANDDDDDD.
- Yogging.

See you soon,
Lisa :D
